Up next, another pizza place we visited while touring Chicago.  

When I think of Chicago style pizza, I'm thinking deep dish...  Who would have thought that one of my favorite pizza's in Chicago specializes in thin crust?

Meet Pat's Pizza....    More specifically, Pat's Special:

Pats special is described as having sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions....    You'll see in the picture that the green bell peppers were not an after thought....   This pizza looked good.

First bite into the pizza we taste the tomato sauce...  Rich with basil, it was very tasty..  This sauce is a perfect base for this pizza....     The next flavor that fills my palate with joy is the sausage..   They must have a special recipe for their sausage.  There was so much going on flavor wise that this was one of the best sausage on a pizza that I can remember.  If you want to wow your taste buds, get a pie with sausage from Pat's..   It's that good!  The bell peppers were crispy and crunchy, just the way they should be...   I don't like wimpy after thought bell peppers on my pizzas.. I like thick crunchy flavorful bell peppers.   This fit the bill perfectly...

Overall, I'd say Pat's Pizza was one of our favorite pizza places in Chicago!
