Our next top for pizza while in Chicago was Spacca. Here we didn't find the usual Chicago deep dish or thin crust pizza. It was a true Italian pizza inspired by Naples. We decided on the Diavola pizza...

Diavola Pizza |
This pizza is described as being topped with mozzarella di bufala, spicy salami, red pepper flakes and basil.
To say this pizza was quickly made is an understatement. This pie came out in less than 5 minutes after we ordered. Don't be worried about doneness, this pizza was perfectly done.... charred a bit, but not burnt.
This pizza was definitely a winner. The spicy salami was very tasty and had a really good kick to it. The red pepper was just enough to let you know it was there but not overwhelming. Based on looks and tastes alone, this pizza was just about perfect...
The only issue that I had with this pie is that the bottom crust was very thin and flimsy. This made keeping the toppings on the pizza a little bit of a challenge. We practically had to eat the pizza New York style and fold the crust, but the crisp edges of the crust didn't fold too easily.
And if you're looking for a soda to whet your whistle while you're here, I'd get a soda before or after visiting. The soda came in an 8oz bottle.. Kinda small and more expensive than I like to spend on soda.. I'm a fan of fountain drinks, especially with free refills.
